We are local residents and have just committed ourselves to raise a minimum amount of £ 8,000 for the nation’s heart charity, the British Heart foundation (BHF), registered charity number 225971 by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in September 2010. Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest peak on the African Continent and one of the largest free standing mountains in the world – to climb it is the ultimate challenge!
We are soliciting the support of local businesses to help us achieve our fundraising goals and generate a great local news story both prior to and after the event itself, courtesy of Merseymart and Liverpool Echo. If you have already committed for this financial year please consider a donation in April.
We would be enormously grateful if you, a leading local business, would consider either sponsoring us for this challenge or donating a gift-in-kind that we may be able to use in a fundraising raffle. Heart and Circulatory disease still kills more people than any other serious illness, so any support you can give us will help the BHF to fund more life saving research.
‘My son Conaugh age 9 suffers from a heart complaint, Ventricular Sceptical Defect. Due to the help and support of the British Heart foundation and Alder hey hospital he leads a full and active life. My family and I feel we owe them a lot and we realise Conaugh may need their help and support throughout his life. This is my way of saying Thank you!!’ Stephen Metcalf
We have paid a non-refundable deposit of £700 and we are required to submit 80% of our sponsorship and pledges for the remaining 20% to the BHF by 28th May 2010..
If you would like to sponsor us , complete our online sponsor page http://original.justgiving.com/stephenmetcalf1 should you wish to support us. Or if you have a gift-in –kind that needs collecting, please call me on 07841 335042 and we will be delighted to come and pick it up.
Many thanks for considering my request. Very Best Wishes Stephen MetcalfJulian Heath
